The origins of the Vardarski Rid archaeological site date back to at least the Bronze Age and continue through to the Roman period when it’s believed that the settlement was abandoned. Past excavations have suggested the former presence of ceramic and textile workshops along with other structures, although exact details remain vague. A popular place for picnics and teenagers on BMX bikes, the site overlooks the Vardar and can be found just south of town close to the busy road junction.
